My upbringing included the counsel of many friends who sought solace in our home, finding it a sanctuary of warmth, comfort, and understanding.

My father often quipped that I should turn this penchant for aid into a profession, and years later, I took his comment to heart and embarked on a career path as a therapist.
Raised in a sprawling and tightly-knit family, we’ve weathered a multitude of life’s trials together – from immigration hurdles to financial strains, from joyous unions to heart-wrenching losses. Throughout it all, our familial bond has remained unyielding, affording me the privilege of never feeling alone amidst life’s challenges. I have experience in crisis stabilization, working from a Trauma-focused perspective, and working with multi-stressed families. I have also provided school-based therapy services for teens in need of support outside of their homes. I originally started my college career as a photography major, not quite knowing what I wanted to do. I took Psych 101 as an elective and fell in love! I got my Bachelor of Art in psychology from the University of North Florida and went on to get my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I spent my year-long internship at a women’s residential substance use program. From there I worked for 3 years at a general outpatient office working with adults struggling with a wide range of concerns from general anxiety to sexual dysfunction and schizoaffective disorder. My clinical passion sits with gender and sexuality, relationships, and trauma.
My ideal therapy client is someone who is working through the complexities of their identity and seeking a supportive, affirming space for self-exploration and growth. I also work with individuals who are experiencing trauma or major life transitions, such as career changes, relationship shifts, or personal losses. These clients are open to exploring their emotions, understanding the impact of their past, and developing healthier coping strategies. I currently see individuals 20+.

As far as modalities, I use ACT to help develop greater psychological flexibility. This means learning to accept your thoughts and feelings rather than struggling against them. Reality/Choice theory will help you understand the choices you have and how these choices impact your relationships and overall well-being. Feminist theories will help examine societal and gender norms.
