Education, Training and Experience

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and received my Master of Arts from Lewis and Clark School of Education and Counseling with an emphasis on intersectionality and inclusivity. I have additional training in International Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have experience helping to relieve depression and anxiety, interpersonal communication, phase of life problems, adjustment issues, trauma, psychosis, gender, sexuality issues, coping mechanisms and much more.

Approach

I have a systemic, multicultural and strength-based approach and collaboratively tailor the type of therapy to each individual client. I see a wide variety of clients ranging from children and teens to adults, couples and families and have a non-judgmental, accepting, and open-minded outlook.

Philosophy

I believe that therapy can be beneficial to everyone in a fundamental way for improving and maintaining mental health. I believe in a system-based society, meaning that we are all both affected by and affect our environment. Whether it is our family of origin, our neighborhood or the biological system we all live in, there is a never-ending connectivity between us and our surroundings. I look forward to working with you collaboratively to support you in achieving your goals, whatever they may be, helping you on your journey to contentment and positive communication with yourself and others.
