I am a Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) with a Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University. With a background as a veteran and extensive experience working with both Veterans and children, I bring a unique and empathetic perspective to my therapeutic practice. Over the past decade, I have proudly served in the US Army and transitioned into a career in clinical social work. Alongside my private practice, I serve as a Social Worker at the Department of Veteran Affairs, working with the homeless and marginalized population, providing counseling and case management.
Background and Experience
My personal journey as a veteran has instilled in me a deep understanding of the challenges Veterans and their families face. Combined with my professional experience, I am especially equipped to assist individuals grappling with PTSD, stress management, problem-solving, anxiety, and more. While obtaining my Master of Social Work degree, I completed my practicum at the Department of Children, Youth, and Families, providing strength-based and solution-focused services to ongoing cases for families. My work with children leverages this insight, ensuring that each young client receives support tailored to their specific needs.
Using evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy, I am dedicated to helping my clients uncover the root causes of their challenges and develop effective strategies for overcoming them. My holistic approach considers all aspects of an individual’s life and well-being.
I am deeply passionate about my role in your journey to improved mental well-being. My therapeutic style is compassionate yet practical, aiming to empower you with the tools and techniques necessary for lasting growth and healing. Whether you are dealing with stress, anxiety, or other mental health concerns, I am here to support and guide you.
Connecting with a therapist who understands the complexities of your experiences can make all the difference. I look forward to contributing to a dynamic clinical team and supporting you in achieving your mental health goals.
