My name is Cornelia, but you can call me Connie.

I was born and raised mainly in Seattle, WA, but my love for adventure and travel developed through spending every summer of my childhood in a small town in Germany. I grew up in a bilingual, multicultural home, where I learned to navigate the complexity of having a parent who had to learn to assimilate to American culture.

After traveling and living abroad for several years, I moved back to Seattle and completed my Bachelor’s at the University of Washington. During that time, I also began working as an addiction specialist in downtown Seattle, supporting clients who were struggling with complex trauma and substance use. This work allowed me to reflect on how I can support and advocate for my clients when addressing the systemic structures that create disparities and barriers for them on numerous levels.

In 2020, I earned my Masters in Arts from the University of WA, specializing in Applied Child and Adolescent Psychology. I interned at the Seattle Children’s Hospital ADHD Psychiatry Clinic. I have since been working as a therapist with families, adolescents, and adults in the community as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC61048933/Pending Licensed Mental Health Counselor LMHC LH61305026).

I live in Seattle with my partner and my two young children. My role as a community-based provider has allowed me to work with clients across age ranges, experiences, and diagnoses. I am passionate about promoting social
justice and equity and carry these values into my client relationship. I am currently accepting new clients and provide psychotherapy specializing in evidence-based treatment for depression, anxiety, and complex trauma, as well as parenting support for adolescents and adults.
