Hello! My name is Cassandra, but you can call me Cassie. I am an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I earned my Master’s in Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University and my Bachelor’s in Science in Nursing from the University of Washington.
I have a robust background, including six years of experience in emergency and correctional nursing, giving me a unique insight into the varying presentations of acute and chronic mental illness across the lifespan.
I’m a member of several professional organizations, such as the Neuroscience Education Institute and the Association of Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nursing, to access high-quality continuing education and participate in state-wide advocacy efforts to expand access to mental health care.
An essential part of my practice is a client-centered, evidence-based approach to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions. Treatment decisions are made in collaboration with each client’s unique needs in order to ensure the best outcomes. I truly understand the importance of hearing each client’s story and am committed to providing thorough, detail-oriented care. I treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions but take a particular interest in perinatal psychiatry. As a mother of two young children, I understand the critical need for psychiatric providers who treat parents during this stage of life.
My other interests include body-focused repetitive behaviors, mood and psychotic disorders, substance abuse disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, as well as psychiatric comorbidities of Ehler’s Danlos syndromes.
