Make the first step towards a better you.

Locations: Burien

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here! I am currently accepting individuals for Telehealth  services, including adults, adolescents, and children (depending on their fit for remote services.)

Approach:

My therapeutic approach is rooted in relationships. I seek to provide clients with a safe place to come as they are and feel seen, heard, and cared for. In general, my work is holistic, playful, client-centered, and attachment-based, and my specific modalities vary depending on the individual at hand. As a social worker and drama therapist, I often engage clients in working creatively, combining “talk therapy” with dramatic and creative arts-based approaches. At its core, drama therapy entails the use of dramatic processes to achieve therapeutic goals. Some of the other techniques I use include solutions-focused therapy, somatic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodrama, and play therapy.

Education:

I earned my Master of Social Work with a certificate in child and adolescent well-being from Rutgers University and my Bachelor of Arts in theater, psychology, and drama therapy from New York University. Additionally, I am an alternative training student through the North American Drama Therapy Association, working toward credentialing as a Registered Drama Therapist.

Experience:

I am Pacific Northwest Native, but spent many years living away in different places, including New York, Germany, and Mississippi. Connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds has been meaningful, and I have carried these experiences into my work.

I have experience working with children aged two and older, adolescents, and adults. I began my social work experience providing services in a domestic violence shelter, which was foundational in understanding trauma care. My background includes providing outpatient therapy, trauma-informed play therapy, parent-coaching, in-home intensive services for children and youth, and working with children and families through New Jersey’s Department of Protection and Permanency. I specialize in trauma, attachment-related challenges, anxiety, and women’s issues.
