Make the first step towards a better you.

Locations: Burien

Throughout life problems may arise, that catch you off guard. Our challenge in therapy is to find resolution that we can accept and use as a foundation for growth and development. Feelings of self-doubt and lack of confidence are core struggles experienced by many. Together, in therapy, these feelings and many others can be explored and a guide established to manage them more effectively. I will be your guide to help you meet your goals free of judgement and with unconditional positive regard. I look forward to walking this path to betterment with you today!

I have provided therapy in a multitude of settings and with different populations.  Throughout the years, I have worked with children, adolescents and young adults for the last ten years while employed at Waldo Burton Memorial. A private, not for profit, facility that provided educational and residential care to boys from age 6-18.  I spent many years working with families connected through the process of adoption and the adoption triad (birth parents, adoptive parents, adoptees and extended families).  I was chair and group facilitator for Adoption Birthrights Committee for ten years.  I have also worked with adults and geriatrics clients with medical and psychiatric complexities for thirty years.

Each community that I have worked with had their own unique needs.  The skill base that I work from is a brief therapeutic style with strategies that come from behavior therapy based models (behavior modification, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectic behavior therapy).
