I am an empathic and approachable provider; I understand that just scheduling an appointment may be a huge step for you and I want you to feel comfortable starting your recovery process. I look forward to getting to know you and your unique history so we can work together on the next steps of your journey and move forward with positive, lasting change. Background

Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” and I wholeheartedly agree. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and I look at everyone I meet as my teacher. My educational journey has helped me not only to grow personally and professionally but has instilled in me a continuing curiosity and desire to solve problems and help others. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Alternative Dispute Resolutions from Salisbury University in Maryland. After graduating, I worked as a Crisis Counselor with chronically mentally ill, underprivileged patients who were part of a community psychiatric rehabilitation program. Through this work, I developed a passion for the workings of the mind, which led to my pursuit of a career in nursing. I earned my Associates Degree in Nursing from Wor-Wic Community College and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University, Master of Science
in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, and Post-Masters Graduate Certificate for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Wilkes University. I have worked in a variety of settings and among multiple specialties including community mental health, long-term care, inpatient hospice care, addiction/ drug and alcohol detox, diabetes education, developmental disabilities, pharmaceuticals, and inpatient mental health treatment.

I look forward to working with you on the next step in your mental health journey!
